  • Acupuncture is a viable treatment for two types of health issues: simple and complex. Simple problems, such as stress, allergies, colds, and recent injuries, can be easily treated. On the other hand, more complex issues may require more time and sometimes a combination of Chinese Medicine.

  • Acupuncture needles are as thin as a dog's whisker and are virtually painless when inserted. During the treatment, the practitioner will insert the needle to the appropriate depth, and you will likely experience a unique sensation that can vary from tingling to heaviness, warmth, or even nothing at all. Every person's experience is different, and if you feel any discomfort, simply let your practitioner know, and they will adjust the needles accordingly. Additionally, all needles are sterilized and disposable.

    Because cupping brings blood to the skin’s surface, it may cause temporary marks similar to bruises. The marks left behind also indicate the condition of the treatment area. 

    Darker areas may represent more stasis or determine the quality of the blood in the area where the cups were. The process of cupping can help remove old, stagnant blood, allowing for fresh blood to circulate, decreasing pain, brightening the skin and improving mobility.

  • Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese medical treatment in which the skin is scraped to produce light petechiae and break up scar tissue.

    It stimulates micro-circulation to encourage the release of unhealthy elements from injured areas. The process also stimulates blood flow, healing, and the immune system while decreasing inflammation.
