Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner | Pedorthists
Kimberley (Kim) Coupland is a dual-certified practitioner in Traditional Chinese Medicine (R.TCMP)—specializing in acupuncture and herbal medicine—and Pedorthics (C Ped (C)), a specialized designation focusing on footwear, bracing, and lower-limb biomechanics.
Kim began her academic journey in the Outdoor Pursuits program at the University of Calgary, later completing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a major in Exercise and Physiology. Following her undergraduate degree, she pursued certification in Pedorthics and has been a practicing Certified Pedorthist for over 25 years. During her career, she also contributed to the development and teaching of the Pedorthic program at Western University in London, Ontario, helping shape the next generation of professionals in the field.
Her passion for whole-body wellness and the connection between movement, energy, and long-term health inspired Kim to study Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She later expanded her training in China, observing in integrated hospitals and learning how Eastern and Western medical practices can work together to support comprehensive patient care.
In her practice, Kim takes a warm, welcoming, and patient-centered approach, ensuring each person feels heard, supported, and empowered in their health journey. She emphasizes prevention, balance, and longevity, helping her patients not only recover from pain or injury but also build resilience and maintain vitality for years to come.
An avid skier and outdoor adventurer, Kim brings her love of movement and the outdoors into her philosophy of care. By integrating her deep understanding of biomechanics with the holistic healing principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, she creates individualized treatment plans that help patients move well, feel balanced, and live vibrant, active lives.
