Registered Acupuncturist
Cathy is a devoted and passionate acupuncturist committed to helping people of all ages find greater freedom, vitality, and wellbeing. A student first and practitioner second, she brings not only years of clinical training but a lifelong fascination with the human body and its capacity for healing.
Her path into medicine was shaped early by a deep interest in movement. Years of studying yoga and interdisciplinary forms of movement, teaching Yin Yoga teacher trainings, facilitating retreats, Lululemon ambassador and facilitator at the Toronto Yoga Show and Conference gave her an intimate understanding of how the body holds tension, builds resilience, and restores itself.
Cathy graduated from the Institute of Traditional Medicine in Toronto in 2009 where she studied acupuncture and Chinese medicine. She has since then, studied and practiced a wide range of styles, including Japanese Acupuncture, Community Acupuncture, Auricular Acupuncture, Facial Rejuvenation, and Advanced Classical Acupuncture. Each treatment is tailored to the individual and may draw on a variety of modalities, including nutritional guidance rooted in Chinese Medicine energetics, Qigong, tuina massage, moxibustion, fire cupping, gua sha, acupressure, and other self-care strategies. She is currently completing a nine-month mentorship in Daoist Death Medicine, an area of classical Chinese medicine interested in accompanying people through life’s most significant transitions.
Beyond the treatment room, Cathy co-founded Revelstoke Community Acupuncture, offers free monthly talks at Jade Wellness on health and Chinese Medicine, teaches workshops on health and wellness and offers weekly Qigong classes in Revelstoke.
